Cut the red tape

The national online system will cut waiting time and reduce the red tape of eight different systems across the states and territories. To achieve this end, legislation will have to be radically overhauled (for instance over 77 acts govern property lending) and an appropriate corporate structure will have to be developed.

"This is essential if we want to make Australia the commercial hub of our region", said federal Attorney-General Robert McClelland.
